What’s your style?

Natural with a bit of posed. We’ll play games, hug, and laugh a lot at your session. Absolutely client led. By client led I mean, I will guide and direct you a lot, but are the kids hungry? Let’s get a snack. Is the baby tired? I’ll skip the pose I have in my mind and we’ll let baby doze in mom’s arms, it’ll be just as precious. I always get a few shots of everyone smiling and looking at the camera, but the majority of my style shows the love and connection of your family.

I got you boo. My posing is so natural, you might not notice it when I’m shooting. I’ll take my time getting your best angle and getting y’all set, then we’ll just have fun. I’ll pose, give you direction and ways to interact with each other. I got you.

MY SPOUSE/CHILD/TEEN HATES HAVING THEIR PHOTO TAKEN. CAN YOU HELP?

Absolutely! I’m not perfect, and we all have rough days, but I try my best to make your session easier than expected. When we have a date set, I will send you my client questionnaire. This really helps me to get to know your family. If someone in your family doesn't love having their photo taken, I’ll know in advance and do what I can to make it as painless as possible. I’ll know kids names and favorites, what concerns you have, your style, all the things to help me prepare for your session. Pro tip #1 , if your unwilling spouse/child/teen can give me a chance, not take themselves too seriously for one teeny-tiny hour, you’ll all enjoy the session and your photos more. Pro tip #2, yelling at kids to smile, never ever works.

What do I wear?

I totally get it. Picking out what to wear is probably one of the most stressful parts of photos. But I am here to help! After your date is set, I will send you my Welcome and What to Wear guide. It’s full of helpful hints, how not to break the bank on clothing, and styling ideas. Still need help? Included with your session is access to my client closet; full of outfits in a range of sizes you may borrow for your session. Don’t have time to shop? Girl. Let me help you! With our email correspondence, I’ll ask a few quick questions and get shopping for your crew. I’ll shop stores in your area which have buy online and pick up in store options, if needed. I’ll send some ideas for just you, the whole family, or whatever you need. Can’t find an accessory you were planning on? Shoot me a text, I’ll see what I can find.

Do I pick the Location? Can you help?

Part of my questionnaire is finding out what type of setting you are hoping for. If you have a spot in mind, great! I’ll want to know where, in advance so I can be prepared and find the best lighting. If you have no idea, no worries. I have locations all over the area; and I’m always on the look out for more.

How long are sessions?

Family sessions are roughly 45 minutes to one hour. Senior, First 48, and Extended Family sessions are all more than an hour and custom to specific sessions needs.

Do I get to see all the images from my session?

Short answer. No. How many selfies do you take to get the perfect one? Do you post all of them to social media? Probably not. I want you to love your images. Sometimes we (unknowingly) make unflattering facial expressions, blink, or give the side eye to our kid who is acting a little less than perfect—and all of that is ok. Sometimes my posing is off, or I got your less than favorite side. It’s my job to sort through the ones that aren’t the best, so you don’t have too.

When will I get to see my photos?

Galleries are edited and delivered to you within 2 weeks of your session.

What happens if the weather is bad?

I’m watching the weather just as much as you are. We’ll be in touch. If I am really concerned, we’ll definitely be talking to figure a back up plan. I prefer to wait to reschedule sessions for weather until the day of.

What if someone gets sick?

I totally get it—life happens. I am happy to reschedule your session one time as long as I receive a 24 hour notice.

Do you travel?

Sure do! Travel fees are additional, please inquire for details.

Do you shoot weddings?

I only shoot weddings of 75 or less guests. I am available as a second shooter for larger weddings. Please inquire for details and pricing.

How do I snag a spot on your calendar?

Click the Contact tab at the top! We'll find a suitable date, a signed contract, session fee paid and you’re set!
